Welcome to the new look of the Finally Fund Admin newsletter, thoughtfully redesigned to support fund managers with clearer insights and smoother operations.

🗒️ Note from our CEO

Jenna Fernandes

Dear Finally Clients,

As we launch a new and improved Finally Fund Admin newsletter, I wanted to briefly reintroduce myself and explain why we built this firm.

I’m Jenna Fernandes, co-founder and CEO of Finally Fund Admin, and a co-founder and Operating Partner at VU Venture Partners, a global venture capital fund, and VU Capital Partners, a real estate private equity fund.

Before Finally existed, we were fund managers first. Our fund was one of the largest clients of what was, at the time, one of the largest fund administrators in the world. When that fund administrator ultimately went bankrupt, it became clear that scale alone does not equal sustainability or durability, and we found ourselves needing a new fund admin platform.

Rather than move to another provider, we brought fund administration in-house and built the fund admin platform we always wanted to exist from a fund manager perspective, including product features, services, pricing, and customer service.

What began as an internal solution quickly proved useful beyond our own funds. We opened Finally Fund Admin to support funds and syndicates of all shapes and sizes, and during a period of broader market disruption, we onboarded a large number of transitioning clients. We have continued to grow from there.

That experience shaped how we define sustainable fund administration.

Finally was built with a unique business model engine that operates profitably through disciplined pricing, efficient operations, and long-term client relationships, rather than relying on equity capital from investors to subsidize ongoing losses.

This distinction matters. The reality is that some fund administrators today, including some well-known firms, operate unprofitable business models supported only by investor capital, with the hope that profitability will come later. That approach introduces real risk into your back office operations, a risk that many fund managers are not aware of.

Your fund administrator should not depend on external runway to remain viable. When a provider’s business model is not sustainable, it can create significant disruption in the future and lead to unplanned costs, operational gaps, and unnecessary stress for fund managers.

Your fund administrator should be a stable, long-term operator that can support you for decades, across market cycles.

Finally Fund Admin was built for the long haul. Our goal is to create durable stability in your back office so you can stay focused on building your fund, supporting your investors, and growing your portfolio.

From the beginning, we focused on:

Building durable teams and systems that do not rely on any single person
Creating secure, repeatable processes with real redundancy
Maintaining financial discipline and long-term operational planning
Customizing support based on each fund’s structure and stage
Communicating clearly and directly, especially when things are complex

No two funds are the same, and administration should reflect that. Our role is to provide consistent, reliable support so you can focus on investing, fundraising, and long-term strategy without worrying about the stability of your administrator.

Fund administration is trust work. Trust is earned through consistency, accountability, and execution over time.

This newsletter is one way we’ll stay connected, sharing updates, insights, and best practices as we continue to strengthen our platform and team.

More to come.
