K-1 season is in full swing and our team is making strong, steady progress. Many K-1s have already been delivered, and all remaining filings have been properly placed on extension. We are actively sending K-1s on a rolling basis and are fully on track to deliver the remaining K-1s as quickly and accurately as possible.

You may have heard about California's new VC diversity reporting law — the Fair Investment Practices by Venture Capital Companies Law (FIPVCC). It applies to certain venture capital firms with a California connection and requires them to collect and report demographic data on their portfolio company founders each year. The first reports were originally due April 1, 2026.

Here's the latest update: California's Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) has put the law on hold while it works through a formal rulemaking process. This means firms no longer need to register or file reports by the April 1 deadline — and nothing is required until final regulations are in place.
